See the veins beneath the skin.
VeinScan turns your iPhone camera into a live vein visualiser — tunable spectral enhancement, pinned in place with AR. Free, on device, no account.
Camera in. Vein map out.
A narrow synthetic wavelength band, local contrast and a steady AR anchor — all live, all on the phone.
Tunable spectral band
VeinScan recombines the camera’s wide red, green and blue channels into a much narrower band that you tune yourself, anywhere from 500 to 1000 nm.
Four view modes
Normal, Spectrum, Inverse and Vessels. Adjust bandwidth, contrast, illumination flattening and hair filtering until the vessels stand out.
Pin it in place with AR
Tap Anchor and the enhanced image stays locked over the arm while you move around it. Uses LiDAR where the iPhone has it; optional hand tracking follows the limb.
Private by design
No account, and your images are never collected, stored or transmitted. What the camera sees stays on the phone.
Works fully offline
Every frame is processed on the device. No network connection needed, ever.
Free
Free to download from the App Store. No ads, no account, no sign‑up.
What it looks like.
Details, plainly.
Made for iPhone
Requires iOS 17.0 or later. LiDAR depth and surface fitting are used on iPhones that have the scanner; everything else works without it.
Not a medical device
VeinScan is an experimental visualisation tool. It does not diagnose, measure or treat anything and is not intended for clinical use. Never rely on it for a medical decision.
Results vary
What you see is a contrast‑enhanced camera image. How well it works depends a great deal on lighting, skin tone and which iPhone you are using.
